Meet the Founders

Éire Sounds is the result of the collaboration between three creative professionals who share a passion for music, culture, and digital storytelling. Each brings a very unique skill set into the project: research, design and media production to shape a meaningful cultural experience.

Aline Machado

Web & Digital Designer

Aline designed and implemented Éire Sounds’ website, configuring hosting, web-developement, to build a responsive and user-friendly platform. She developed the site map and navigation structure, ensuring clarity and accessibility for audiences. Her creative contributions included designing the project’s logo, defining its visual identity through typography and colour choices, and producing bespoke illustrations, backgrounds, and icons.

Leo Costa

Research & Multimedia Lead

Leo is passionate about culture and music and undertook the cultural research that grounds Éire Sounds in lived experiences. He also handled audiovisual production—filming and editing interviews, recording narration, and curating photographic and visual materials. His work bridges research and creative storytelling to capture Irish music’s diversity and depth.

Katiane Santos

Creative Strategist & Media Producer

Katiane led the development of Éire Sounds’ brand identity, including colour palette, typography, and tone of voice, ensuring cultural coherence across platforms. She managed the project timeline, team coordination, and outreach with external collaborators. Her responsibilities also included editing audio content, crafting interview questions, directing the social media strategy, and maintaining project documentation bridging visual design, narrative, and production.

Team Collaboration

Throughout the development of Éire Sounds, the project team worked collaboratively on several key aspects that shaped both the creative vision and the technical foundation of the platform. The project name and logo were collectively ideated through brainstorming sessions, where each member contributed ideas that reflected the cultural, narrative, and experiential goals of the project.

Decisions regarding tools and technologies ranging from website development and hosting platforms to visual design software and audio-visual editing tools were made jointly, based on the needs and scope of the project.

Content collection from musical events and venues was also a shared responsibility. Team members attended different locations to capture photographs and video footage, ensuring a diverse and rich media archive that reflected the project’s broad scope.

Research tasks were divided among the group, with each member focusing on specific themes such as Irish musical history, cultural identity, digital technology, or user engagement. This distributed approach enabled a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the subject matter and allowed the team to cover a wide range of relevant topics efficiently.

The collaborative effort across all stages of the project from concept development to final implementation was essential to delivering a unified and culturally grounded experience.
